This morning Precaller is working as normal, no calls getting disconnected. Whatever you have done Dave Knell has done the trick.
If you can answer my request above then that would be great.
Many thanks

0844/0843/0871/0872. Thanks
This has been requested numerous times but unfortunately Dave's reply has always been "It's not possible" but that was a while ago. So hopefully Dave would give it a thought and enable calls to 08 numbers.

Hi all -
I've just fixed (I hope) a problem with Precaller which meant that some callers couldn't dial numbers - the DTMF was being presented to the IVR in a way different to that which was expected, and so it didn't hear the digits.
The 3 minute call cut-off thing should have been fixed a couple of days ago.
084/087 - not going to happen, I'm afraid - the mix of numbers and rates is a nightmare to keep up with. UK mobiles - I will fix that, just not today.

Dave knell. In precaller terms and conditions it clearly states that calls are not allowed to revenue share numbers. Just wanted to know if you can change that to allow calls to them?
Would that be a possibility?
Thanks

We know the rates are different but as far as I know there's a max charge which the suppliers can charge on 0843, 0844, 0871, and 0872 numbers. I guess it would be possible to set your charging of units in a way that you don't lose out and charge the maximum. For example, as far as I know the maximum someone can charge for 0843/0844 number is 5ppm so you can set the charging of your units in a way that it covers 5ppm (plus your share obviously ). So if someone calls an 0843 number which costs 2ppm then you're on the roll and if someone calls an 0843 numbers which costs 5ppm then you get your minimum share. It would be a win win situation.

I managed to make 2 calls in the morning and both lasted 3 minutes each . After that I had the same problem as yours.

It reminds me of the days back in Pakistan when you would book a call to phone the UK via the operator and after 3 mins call would just disconnect.

You had more luck than me, then...I tried to make calls to both a Spanish landline and to an Irish mobile, and none of my calls connected at all.

That's not quite right - the maximum charge for 0871 (for example) is 10 pence/call + 10 pence/min. Precaller's billing doesn't deal with per-call charges as it stands, so there's a large potential hole for us there. Any feedback on service quality - changed outbound routing and call durations shot up, so I guess something moved in the right direction. --Dave

My example was for 0843/0844 numbers . I guess we'll just have to keep quite with regards to allowing the 08 on Precaller. As far as the call quality is concerned, so it was "excellent" yesterday when I used Precaller. I spoke to my mum who's on a holiday 5000 miles away and she said "it sounds like I was standing next to her" , well done.

Hi to all, I use to be able to link another phone on my account - so I could use the credits I had accumalated on my original phone to make calls from the linked phone, which had no credits at all. I have recently tried to do this again, but it dosent work anymore, automated response is you have no credits - is there any way around this?? Thanks
