I tested this and found that the callthru worked for mobile number in India but not for landline number.

I tested this and found that the callthru worked for mobile number in India but not for landline number. I can confirm that this call through worked for both mobile and land lines to India. gudman Title: Re: 03 callthrough from TelNG (Includes India) Post by: djyhkr on October 04, 2014, 03:53:46 PM Yes this service works for both mobile and landline. Quality also seems good.

Title: Re: 03 callthrough from TelNG (Includes India) Post by: cutebobby08 on October 08, 2014, 04:42:49 AM Hi Dan
Any chance to add Pakistan mobiles and landline in this service? Title: Re: 03 callthrough from TelNG (Includes India) Post by: i_luv_free_calls on October 08, 2014, 09:08:37 AM Hi Dan Any chance to add Pakistan mobiles and landline in this service? I don't think so mate as Pakistan is a fairly expensive destination to call and the termination fee from 03 number cannot cover it. Agreed. If they could, they would (I don't run this) there's good reason it's not listed I'm afraid. Title: Re: 03 callthrough from TelNG (Includes India) Post by: Tonero72 on October 08, 2014, 01:13:49 PM Hi Dan Any chance to add Pakistan mobiles and landline in this service? Hi Cutebbobby08, I_luv_free_calls is right about his answer to your question. And besides that, you need to understand that the service you enquired about is provided by TelNG, not Dan. Dan only discovered the service and was kind enough to share the information on this forum. Title: Re: 03 callthrough from TelNG (Includes India) Post by: ruz on October 08, 2014, 01:52:19 PM Hi Dan,
Is this service inclusive on EE Mobile network?? Nice find. Regards, Ruz Title: Re: 03 callthrough from TelNG (Includes India) Post by: Dan on October 08, 2014, 02:26:06 PM Ruz, As a general rule, it's more about if you can call the access number & networks barring/blocking them; 03 numbers must always be included as part of free minutes allowances under Ofcom rules.
So the short answer is yes, if you can connect to it. If you need reassurance in black & white see: http://ask.ofcom.org.uk/help/telephone/03number Title: Re: 03 callthrough from TelNG (Includes India) Post by: Asterix on October 10, 2014, 12:22:01 PM Hi Dan, Is this service inclusive on EE Mobile network?? Nice find. Regards, Ruz I tried calling from orange which is a part of EE group and it came of my inclusive minutes. I presume it should be inclusive on EE as well ! Asterix Title: Re: 03 callthrough from TelNG (Includes India) Post by: getcopy on October 10, 2014, 06:54:54 PM I can confirm that this call through worked for both mobile and land lines to India. May be this is supporting calls to some cities only, but not all. Even today the land line number did not work for me.gudman Title: Re: 03 callthrough from TelNG (Includes India) Post by: cutebobby08 on October 15, 2014, 02:29:28 PM Thanx everyone for the reply... But I'm still hoping they add Pakistan soon.
Title: Re: 03 callthrough from TelNG (Includes India) Post by: ruz on October 23, 2014, 12:38:50 PM Hi Dan, I tried calling from EE it came of my inclusive minutes, the number is connecting to India mobile and landline both. But since morning today this service is not working, after dialling the access number we don't hear any announcement the line is silent. Anybody else noticed the same problem. Regards, Ruz. to international numbers which you call frequently, thus making dialling them distinctly less of a chore. There's also some 0871/2s. Those who have inclusive minutes to these ranges can get cashback by making international calls through them. --Dave Title: Re: 03 callthrough from TelNG (Includes India) Post by: seanjoe on October 24, 2014, 03:18:50 PM Another thing. Title: Re: 03 callthrough from TelNG (Includes India) Post by: DaveKnell on October 24, 2014, 04:01:58 PM Nope; it's the same.
--Dave Title: Re: 03 callthrough from TelNG (Includes India) Post by: Dan on October 30, 2014, 05:29:47 PM All TelNG & Precaller 03xx numbers now seem be to barred on Three, as well as PD 03 Top-up though not sure about latter if this happened the same time/new development or happened earlier on, but sure other users will elaborate their experience in due course in appropriate threads.
Thanks to Moon for spotting this earlier this afternoon. Title: Re: 03 callthrough from TelNG (Includes India) Post by: DaveKnell on October 30, 2014, 08:17:08 PM They were barred as of Monday morning. We have attempted to reach a commercial solution with Three and failed, so we referred this dispute to Ofcom yesterday.

I'd suggest looking at our 087 callthrough instead - both EE and Vodafone will sell you bundles of minutes to 087x at 1p/minute; you can use them for callthrough and get cashback (which will more than pay for the cost of the bundle, calling most common destinations) if you sign up at http://www.uk03.co.uk Title: Re: 03 callthrough from TelNG (Includes India) Post by: DaveKnell on July 11, 2016, 10:41:54 AM There's more information (and a shiny new website - well, shinier than the old one) at http://uk03.uk (http://uk03.uk)

Title: Re: 03 callthrough from TelNG (Includes India) Post by: Asterix on April 09, 2017, 06:22:57 PM Great that this is working again. Another of Dave's ingenuity Even though it is working again , I realised that we are getting charged for the calls we make using 0330 numbers . My preexisting cash back credit had been deducted at approx 1p/min of call to India. Is this happening at your end too ?? Title: Re: 03 callthrough from TelNG (Includes India) Post by: delaro on April 09, 2017, 08:16:02 PM Another of Dave's ingenuity He is good but IMHO you're over estimating his capabilities. dlR Title: Re: 03 callthrough from TelNG (Includes India) Post by: delaro on April 09, 2017, 08:17:21 PM Even though it is working again , I realised that we are getting charged for the calls we make using 0330 numbers . You would get charged if you've no inclusive minutes left.. dlR Title: Re: 03 callthrough from TelNG (Includes India) Post by: Asterix on April 10, 2017, 01:06:39 AM You would get charged if you've no inclusive minutes left.. dlR No ! I didn't mean to say that network provider is charging me. Infact i have unlimited mins. What i actually meant is that previously Dave offered 03300xxxxxx as free calls . However i realise from my (callcashback a/c) dashboard that Dave is deducting approx 1p for every min of international call. It is getting decucted from the credit (cashback) recieved from calling 0871/2 access numbers. Regarding deduction I somewhat understand a need for that but don't praise Dave for implementing yet another fantastic amendment to his services without a notification. dlR |
