Title: Orange Pay Go changes from 1st July
Post by: mobaholic on May 24, 2011, 07:35:51 PM

Those or a nervous disposition should not read on !        :o

Those with strong stomachs may wish to know what the rotten Orange have planned for their own profits, at our expense.        ::)

There are some horrific price increases in the pipeline.       ???

Dolphin

From 1 July, you'll get an extra 100 text messages each time you top up by £10.
So now you'll get 400 text messages plus free internet on top of the credit you've paid for each time you top up by £10.       :)

BUT "The charge for calls and texts increases too. You'll pay 25p per minute for calls to standard UK landlines, Orange and other mobiles and your answer phone, instead of 20p. And texts will cost 12p instead of 10p per message".

For anybody whose maths is weak, that's a 20% rise in the cost of texts, and a 25% rise in the cost of calls !        ???

Monkey

Same benefit in reward texts, and the same steep rise in charges, as Dolphin.       ;)

Canary

The same pluses and larger minuses as the previous two tariffs.

Additionally "From 1 July, you can send as many texts as you like for just £5. All you need to do is text 'TEXTS 5' to 6620. You can also buy an extra 100 minutes of calls for £5 by texting 'MINS 5' to 6620".

Orange Starter

"For details of all your call rates, see the pay as you go price guide, effective from 1 July 2011 (http://www1.orange.co.uk/service_plans/downloads/PAYG-PG-20110701.pdf)".
