I have exchanged some messages today with a member here who has asked me to post about getting a free SIP number.
Really and truly he should be making the post himself, as he certainly knows more about this subject than I do myself.
I regret that my knowledge of VoIP, DID's and SIP's is either minimal, or non existent
, so please don't send me any PM's about this topic - as I regret that I shall be unable to answer them.
( Maybe panda would be a better person to ask
).
Anyway here is the post - made as a favour to the member concerned:-
"If you sign in with SIPGATE (you have to use
www.sipgate.co.uk server, not the .com) , you will get a U.K local number for free as your choice.
(Skype charges £10 for U.K incoming number)".
If you are looking for a free SIP number yourself, please check it out.
I have had a short look at it today, and was impressed that they have quite a lot of information there, including FAQ's, and information about settings for SIP's on various devices.
Those into such things could well benefit from taking a look themselves.
To repeat myself,
please do not send me PM's about this subject. Thank you.
