Hi all, I recently found this site which claims to offer you a free sim with £5 free credit per month, every month, forever. Call rates are not particularly great i.e 10p per minute so it will really only be useful for the lightest of users. The site is http://www.freeasyougo.com/. Dave

Do you know on which network the service runs?

Got my sim few days back, as it said £5 free credit so I looked in to call costs and they are the same price if not cheaper on calls and texts as gift gaff, Labara and most of the other networks that aren't the big big company's. I call out side the UK alot and most places are only 10p

Once you use the £5 free credit (quite easy at 10p per minute!) calls are much more expensive than e.g 3 for UK calls (3p per minute) or Lyca, Lebara, Vectone etc for international (e.g 1p to India). It won't take many minutes until your £5 is no longer 'free' and you end up paying more overall than if you chose another provider. If you make very few calls per month and will stay within the £5 free credit or only go slightly over, then it's a good deal.

Hi,
Does anyone know if free credit could be used on UK calls/texts only.
Thanks.

I haven't tested it to be certain but as I understand it, it works just like standard credit.

I have ordered a free Sim, I'm just waiting for it to be delivered and then I can test it.

I ordered one out of curiosity. It arrived with no credit. A week or so later it still has no credit.

You need to activate the free credit Dave. See details on a letter where SIM card was attached. dlR

I was not aware of this. I didn't read the letter properly and I'm quite sure it's shredded by now!
Do you have any idea what I need to do?
