Title: Tesco offers free laptops with mobile broadband deals
Post by: mobaholic on June 08, 2009, 03:39:39 PM

The supermarket giant is looking to take on Carphone Warehouse

Tesco is offering free laptops with many of its mobile broadband packages in a bid to take on Carphone Warehouse as it looks to become the UK’s largest telecoms player.

The supermarket is offering two free laptop models with packages from '3' and Orange at 50 of its in-store phone shops.

Tesco said last month that it wants to become the UK’s leading telecoms player, when it launched the in-store shops.

Carphone launched free laptop and mobile broadband packages in September 2007 and now sells a wide range of subsidised laptops from Dell to Toshiba, with all operators providers other than Vodafone, at all its 820 stores.

The Tesco deals include a free Dell Studio XPS 16 laptop with a 24-month mobile broadband package from 3 at £29.36 a month.
