3 UK has confirmed that the Symbian^3-based C7 smartphone will be available on its network; it is the third mobile phone operator in the UK after O2 and T-Mobile to do so.
The C7 was announced last week during
Nokia's World conference in London and is a mainstream smartphone with a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen (the same as the N8), a 8-megapixel dual LED flash camera and 8GB onboard storage.
As expected, it is socially-aware (Twitter, Facebook, Email etc), has Wi-Fi, supports Web TV, GPS navigation, composite video out and Nokia's new ClearBlack Display.
Sylvia Chind, head of branded devices at Three said, "The Nokia C7 is a great addition to our smartphone range. Our customers know how to make the most of our fast and reliable 3G network. Pairing the Nokia C7 with our network gives our customers the best Symbian 3 experience possible. We’ll be announcing dates and pricing shortly."
The company hasn't confirmed whether the phone would be available soon. The C7 is likely to face the Nokia X6 and the Sony Ericsson Vivaz, both of which will be in the same price range.
