Title: Decrease your BT Landline Rental. £36 saving.
Post by: BJ on June 19, 2010, 04:29:38 AM
If your an existing BT customer who is out of contract, or if your contract is up for renewal, and you place/or agree to place your calls through them its possible to get  £36 credit  off your line rental .

How:  Call Freephone  0808 100 2425 and ask to be  put  through to the customer options team tell them your considering moving your line rental to Primus Line Rental £8.99 a month including  inclusive E&W calls.

If you agree to take another 12 month contract, at the moment they will usually offer you a one off credit of £36 off your bill  bringing your line rental down to £8.54 a month from £11.54 (Paper Free Billing/Paid by dd.)

Having just reread this, I thought I should query the figures you gave in your final paragraph BJ.        :o

I believe that Paper Billing + Direct debit is actually £12-79 per month, so a £30 credit wouldn't bring your line rental down to £8-54 as you say.        :'(

You only get line rental of £11-54 with paper free + direct debit I believe, so you would have to adopt that combination, and get the £36 credit, to reduce your costs as you indicated.        ;)

Do you agree ?        :-\

I think you are right MH, but a correction. It is £36 (not £30) credit. I know a friend of mine got this deal recently.

The 30 was just a slip: I quoted BJ's £36 in my reply above.       ;)

I logged in to amend the error - only to find that you had been too quick in pointing it out !       :o

Anyway mistake corrected thank you.

Op amended to insert "Free". Thanks MH.

They are offering the credit with the new line rental saver option, so its possible at the moment to reduce the rental cost further.
