Orange signs ethical and eco market MVNO C Mobile on to its new MVNO programme
Orange has signed up C Mobile to its mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) Partner Platform.
Orange will power C Mobile SIM cards through mobile virtual network aggregator Transatel.
C Mobile is pitched as an ethical MVNO and launched in 2009 as an online mobile resellers. It will offer prepay SIMs and handset deals targeting at the ethical and eco market later this year. Customers will be able to fund ecologically sustainable energy projects through profit based grants.
Orange UK director of business development Stephen Harris said: "It is great to see how many different companies are waking up to the potential of the MVNO market and with our Partner Platform it's so easy and quick to get going. We are excited about the potential opportunities available for C Mobile in the eco-mobile space and look forward to working with them over the coming months."
C Mobile managing director Jon Lobb said: "We are extremely pleased to sign up to the Orange Partner Platform with Transatel for our UK MVNO operations.
