Title: LG’s cut-price Cookie coming to Carphone
Post by: mobaholic on October 27, 2008, 03:33:23 PM

LG has unveiled a cut-price touch screen device called the KP500 ‘Cookie’.

The manufacturer has claimed the device will be ‘affordable’, which means it is likely to be available for free on tariffs from around the £25 per month mark.

The handset appears is another example of LG looking to undercut its competitors on price.  The manufacturer recently announced the launch of the first mid-range priced 8mp camera phone, the KC780.

The Cookie is 89 grams in weight and will be sold at Carphone Warehouse.  It comes equipped with 3 megapixel camera, active flash user interface and a 3 inch screen.

The device offers a motion censor gaming feature that has been available on several previous LG devices since the LG Secret.  It also comes with a concealed stylus pen for users who wish to use handwriting recognition for writing emails, texts and editing photos.
