MVNO launches tariff undercutting Tesco Mobile by £5 a month
Asda Mobile has launched a SIM only deal to rival Tesco Mobile’s unlimited tariff offering.
The MVNO which runs on Vodafone’s network will be offering its customers a rolling £25 month contract aimed at heavy users.
The tariff has been created after a survey carried out by Pulse of the Nation found 52% of people had switched to SIM only deal to save money and 51% of people want better tariff advice.
The SIM only, month by month, deal gives users unlimited calls and texts for £25 a month.
The supermarket MVNO has also launched the ‘Asda mobile tariff guarantee service’ which will give customers monthly advice on the best Asda Mobile tariff according to their usage.
Asda Mobile’s James McMurrough said: ‘At Asda we listen to our customers’ needs and in return offer them the best value for money. For high usage users, the £25 phone tariff gives unlimited calls and texts with absolutely no hidden costs. To add to this, we’re proud to announce an industry first with the Asda mobile tariff guarantee service which will help ensure that each and every customer is on the best possible phone deal for them resulting in even greater value for all our customers.’
Tesco Mobile, the supermarket’s MVNO on the O2 network, launched a SIM only deal of £30 a month in July last year.
The month by month contract allows customers up to £500 worth of services across voice and text.
