How much you want to spend max? Does it have to be brand new?

yeah, coz unlocking can be a bit of a pain, as i have heard some iphones locked to certain networks can't be unlocked

Cheapest iphone 4 16GB I could find is £150, but its locked. Cheapest unlock iphone I found is iphone 4s 64GB but £285, which I think for you to send as gift is too much?

£285 is bit too much. £150 is not bad, what network is it locked to and if you dont mind giving me link to deal.

If it's for someone "special" then it's not much

yes that site is supposedly good for iphones although not tried myself Your other bet would be ebay. Be prepared to pay around £150 - £180 for an iPhone 4. most will not have Apple Care on them any more as it will be people getting rid of their old ex contract phones. If you want piece of mind go for the above two options.
