I have received this email from GiffGaff this afternoon:-

Hi Moba,

Thanks for being one of our first members, we wanted to make sure you know about our latest offers, developed from feedback from our members. We're excited to let you know we've launched giffgaff goodybags (http://email.giffgaff.com/r/?id=h6eee3,63019da,63019dc) today - the flexible alternative to Pay as you go or a “SIM only” Pay monthly contract.

The monthly goodybags contain a mix of UK minutes, texts and mobile internet to suit your needs, so you get:

-          Control and flexibility over your spending

-          Great value without a contract

-          No nonsense, straight forward prices

-          Unlimited, meaning no limits

A goodybag to suit you.

Goodybags (http://email.giffgaff.com/r/?id=h6eee3,63019da,63019dd) start from just £5 and they all give you great value throughout the month.

Text and talk a bit? For £10 you'll get 100 UK minutes (inc voicemail), Unlimited UK texts and Unlimited mobile internet a month

Chit chat a lot? For £35 you'll get Unlimited UK calling (inc voicemail), Unlimited UK texts and Unlimited mobile internet a month

Unlimited means no limits.

Members have told us that you'd like us to have unlimited usage without limits. So in our goodybags, when we say unlimited goodybags we really mean unlimited, no limits, no holding you back with small print and restrictions.

So long as you're using it for personal use, non commercial, non automated or using Mobile Internet attached to a PC (including tethering) – happy days.

Simple value.

While we know our current low prices are great value, we think you'll agree the new simple no nonsense goodybags makes giffgaff even better.

See if you could be getting better value and peace of mind by buying one of our new goodybags, check them out here (http://email.giffgaff.com/r/?id=h6eee3,63019da,63019de).

Until next time,

Your giffgaff team

I can't paste in the pictures shown on Giffgaff, but to summarize the packages they are:-

£05 goodybag -> Unlimited texts.

£10 goodybag -> 100 minutes + Unlimited texts + Unlimited internet.

£15 goodbag -> 300 minutes + Unlimited texts + Unlimited internet.

£35 goodybag -> Unlimited calls + Unlimited texts + Unlimited internet.

Is unlimited really unlimited?  We will always be honest with our pricing so the answer is yes, we are unlimited for personal users - but commercial and automated use is a no no.  Mobile Internet allowances exclude PC use (including tethering).

Interesting. It's obviously o2 rebranding SIMplicity for GiffGaff, but with better value. (Especially the unlimited talk option is a whole £10 cheaper!!) Also the £5 text option is something new, and they seem to really be insisting there is no fair useage policy! (interesting...)

With the GiffGaff ones your freebie "bolt on" is Free Internet, whereas with SIMplicity the freebie bolton is free o2 to o2 calls or free landline calls. Notably, SIMplicity has no free Bolt on for their lowest £10 tariff whereas GiffGaff does.
