Title: Tiscali fighting for its survival
Post by: mobaholic on March 10, 2009, 09:05:38 AM

Tiscali shares halted as says to miss debt payment

Tiscali said it would ask bankers to suspend interest payments after its lengthy talks on UK assets with broadcaster BSkyB became "almost impossible" to continue.

Shares in Tiscali were suspended from trading on Monday for excessive losses, after the Italian broadband service provider said it would ask for a suspension of debt obligations, because an asset sale had faltered.

The latest report on Tiscali here (http://business.timesonline.co.uk/tol/business/industry_sectors/telecoms/article5891913.ece) suggests that it is not quite dead yet, but that it may be likened to having one foot in the grave, and the other one on a wet bar of soap !        :o
