Title: Cheap India Calling
Post by: anoobiss on May 27, 2009, 10:18:03 AM
Hello friends..I have been searching internet for past few days when Orange blocked 0871 top up service...and I found this website
www.bubbletelecom.com  It has standard text top up service which will be charged in your phone bill and you will be provided with a London access number.Call charges to India mobile is 2p per minute...Whats good in this service is, second billing and I found it very useful unlike other providers who charge for minute for even a single second of call...I find it very useful and thought of sharing with u lads...Hope you find it useful too...
Cheers

It does look good to some destinations in India, but there is no free lunch. They may provide per second billing, but the per minute rates are higher. Indian landlines cost from 3.64p to 4.56p per minute and most Indian mobiles cost 2.28p er minute.

The service promoted to all customer of the 0871 top-up services has a flat rate of 2p per minute to all lines in India for Orange and Vodafone users and 1.85p per minute for O2, Three and T-Mobile users.

Most customers here make quite long calls, so the 3 minute minimum charge makes no difference and the per minute billing on average will add no more than 1p to the cost of an entire call. The average call seems to last around 10 minutes, so for most callers, this service is actually no cheaper than others including my one!
