Title: Giffgaff: New MVNO on o2
Post by: petkow on September 25, 2009, 11:52:24 AM
www.giffgaff.com

Interesting new MVNO starting up with the o2 network. Seems to be a low-cost prepaid offering, with SIMs only available online and likely to have "web-only" customer service. This possibly might use a community based approach (like a forum), where customers can also help out and then earn themselves more credit, or rewards that they can pass on to the charity of their choice! If so, I can see lots of members here being quite active! ;)

However, is there really still space left in the crowded UK market? I suppose this network is going to have to be a bit different! Probably it will not be hugely competitive in terms of per minute rates, but perhaps it will be competitive with extra services and potential rewards!

Full credit to good old Big John at telecomforum for finding this! http://www.telecomforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=4169.0
