Hi all

I'm going to share an excellent service with you all, again I have been given this service from www.callsandtexts.com.
I can confirm its inclusive from o2 simplicity but I don't know about other networks, so try with caution and check before making lots of calls to this number.
You need to dial a 07 topup number, each call lasts for few seconds and you get 10 units/credit per call.
Once you have made enough topup calls, dial a 03 access number to dial your destination number.

This service is very good I think but there are a few things which I'm not fond of.

1. calls charged at minimum of 3 minutes - 3 credits deducted.
2. maximum of 100 calls per day from any given number - 1000 units max per day thats 125 minutes of calling time to Pakistan each day.
3. unused credit expires after 90 days - top up with as much as you can use

I think the last one is the worst one, but don't topup with so many units that you can't use them and they will just expire after 90 days. so topup with usable amounts.

tried this service on vodafone pay monthly and lets see if i do get charged for calling this mobile number. gained 100 units so far but when i dial access number 03333 system says that i do not have enough credit while i have got 100 units to call pakistan and charges call pakistan is 3units per minute. how come i can not make call than?

You are right, o2 have started to charge for this number, i've just checked.
O2 users DO NOT use this number from now on as its CHARGEABLE.

O2 charging for this number is really strange. In the past from o2 it just wasn't possible to get through to these numbers the call would get rejected. Any call that could be made usually meant it would be inclusive.
This number you can dial and get connected, rather than charging for this number o2 would usually block the number.

That is how they handle mobile numbers. Technically this is a pager number, so will be subject to different rules.

But in the past they allowed 076620 numbers then all of a sudden they just blocked it.
What range is 076620?

o2 is charging 51.1p per call to this number.

i have got charged using this 0766xxx numbers for 45£ on vodafone network. So i would suggest people becareful, make sure u chexk your online bill

Thats alot, you must have made lots of call without checking online billing.
Its always best to make 1-2 calls and check first.

This service is not worth the attention at all. Yes! It is free from orange but:

* the calling rates and set up charges are sky high
* credit expires after 90 days
* voice quality is absolutely rubbish (at least the European destinations)
* it does not connect to some destinations at all even thou the numbers are available (the alternative one does connect at all times no problem at all)

There is a much .. much better alternative service available on this forum.

Well I thought it was worth mentioning to other members as I have been using this service for past three months from this company. Call quality to Pakistan has always been excellent, and about set up charges and credit expiring, if you read the original post , I did mention I wasn't fond of them.
At least some members on here who are on Orange will benefit.

O2 has been charging some pager numbers for quite a while now. I first noticed charges for pager numbers back in April. That some prefixes have escaped so far is probably just luck. There is no reason for any network to count any pager numbers as inclusive and I expect that in a short while O2 and Orange will probably charge for all of them.

The number i had been using past 3 months was 07662 and this number is 07660. I wasn't aware of o2 suddenly charging for numbers or else I wouldn't have mentioned it.
At least its still use to Orange users.

At last, I have some good news for O2 users who got the bill for this service...

As I mentioned in earlier post, I was charged 51p per call for calling 07660750048. I was billed £5.62. I am able to fight with O2 and confirmed twice that they are reverting the bill credit in my next bill.

The interesting Story is like this:

I called O2 Helpdesk and told that as per the information at O2 website (as per below link)

The calls to 0766 numbers are free and asked them to confirm and made sure that he says, "Yes, these are in inclusive allowance".

Then I told them that one of my friends borrowed my phone for 5-10mins and called the above numbers without my notice and I got the bill for that. Please revert the bill amount. They kept me on hold for some time and then said "Sorry, the number is free from O2 but the customer is charging O2 for these calls so it is not possible to revert the bill".

I demanded to talk to the supervisor/manager of their team. Again he told the same thing.
Then I told him "Your guy has confirmed me at the start that these are inclusive and free. If I would have trusted him and called these numbers again and if I would have billed then I would have dragged you for reverting the bill for heavy amount. But since this was off mistake from my end and I promise that I will not give my phone to any friend in future.
At last, he was forced to refund the bill since he recognised his guys mistake, he has reverted the bill. Hurry!!!

Hope this will help you guys who are on O2 and try to get the refund. Best of luck...

Note: My future worry is that the service of gaining 6 units per missed calls to 07666 should not come in highlight and they should not charge us. So keep an eye on daily basis for this service bill too.

Even though I have got my charges refunded by o2, it clearly states the charges for 0766 numbers in their terms and conditions.

It says 076 numbers charged at 35.8p per minute, don't know why I was charged 51.1p per call.

Luckily i have got refunded 45£ charged from vodafone after arguing that i never knew that "services or premium numbers" unless they sent me terms and conditions. if i knew that these numbers are premium numbers i would not make calls to these numbers. i do not know why delero hide my last post about this matter.

Does anybody have a link to official Orange info relating to charging of pager numbers?

Just a few weeks ago everybody received a message from Orange stating that they had accidentally included pager numbers in the inclusive minutes and that they would be charged from the 15th or so. Perhaps it was related to only a specific prefix, I don't recall, but I would expect all pagers to be charged by now?

I've also noticed no pager prefixes appear on the list at http://www1.orange.co.uk/service_plans/paymonthly/075890m.html.

Atleast Delaro should explain the reason that he/she hide the posts

I have spent some considerable time tidying up this thread.  I have edited posts where replies have been included in quotes, instead of following them, ( shani22 please take more care in future ), and I have removed something like 15 posts by waqar, which were repetitious whines about his posts being hidden by delaro.

I was asked to place a temporary ban on waqar yesterday, but declined to do so as I do not like draconian censorship.  However, I will give him a friendly warning now *not* to behave again in the way he has over the last 2 days.  IF any member disagrees with a Moderator's decision to hide a post, their first course of action is to discuss it with him via PM, not to post a series of complaints publicly.  IF the 2 of you cannot agree that his reason for acting was reasonable, then you can always appeal that decision to myself.  I shall of course weigh the viewpoint of both parties in any dispute, before adjudicating over the matter.  I believe this to be a fair stance to take, but if any member is not willing to abide by this procedure, he is free to leave the forum.  Please let this be the end of such unseemly public disputes.  Thank you.
