Title: Cash4minutes cashback on unused minutes
Post by: korny88 on June 10, 2014, 12:32:10 PM
Has anyone used this company http://gb.cash4minutes.com (http://gb.cash4minutes.com/?ref=5396e80bb85a4467) - looks similar to other services previously on here, but listening to 'radio' instead, for which they claim to earn a rebate due to the advertisers paying them.

Has numbers in a host of countries including UK, UK mobile, Finland, Poland, Slovenia, Spain.

Let's hear your thoughts.

It's interesting but I don't like the way they have gone for total anonymity! Also it says they will pay you $10 or €10 for as little as 2500 minutes, however there is quite a difference between the value of $1 and €1 (1.00 USD   =   0.738258 EUR according to xe.com). Finally, I'm not convinced they are getting revenue from advertisers, that's just a cover. The revenue will be coming from termination fees on the numbers used and as we know, in the case of the UK there may be payment issues!

I would advise caution personally.

Oh really I tried using UK access numbers but getting the famous message "Calls to this number been barred". What route are you using to connect with this service

I'm calling the landline number, not the mobile access number. It is an 03 number, and works fine.

Thoughts are.. interesting bit like Coinbycall, thanks for posting.. does look/work a like referral link, but as it's a new service I'll put it aside, best to show your interest ideally if the case. Not a re-branded service of Daves is it? :) Either way he could take a look at this part for CCB under FAQ:

What if my Caller ID is not available or presented?
Generally speaking we will receive your Caller ID (CLI) on every call, but sometimes this is not available.
If you call up and our system has been unable to detect your CLI, it'll ask you to enter the CLI you wish your minutes to be added to.
Your minutes will then be added to this account as normal. This is instead of using a PIN based system.

I suggested very similar the other day & never seen C4M before, even thought of using CLI too, how odd!  ::)

Davegr has already mentioned it in the second comment if you care to look. It's also explained on the website. You'll get your answer quicker "if" you bother to read the thread especially when we're only on the first page. Come on man :)

There are no limits to the amount of calls you can make, in other words, you can make as many multiple calls as possible simultaneously.

Hi Sksksk

I can't understand why you are not able to make more than two concurrent calls to their number range.

It is clearly stated on their website that, "There are no limitations to the number of concurrent calls which can be made".

Maybe, your network provider is restricting you from making more than two calls at a time, or perhaps, only two calls are generally allowed from each phone number at a time.

Whatever the case, you are allowed to register a maximum of 10 devices per account.

Please rephrase your comment and ask what exactly you would like to know or you need help with. It might be just me but your comment doesn't make any sense. By reading it, I can't figure out what exactly you would like to know or to be helped with.

Hi Sksksk,

Maybe Vodafone has restricted your mobile phone account to making only two concurrent calls at a time. However, I would suggest you contact Vodafone to confirm that.

i think cash4minutes made a restriction of 2 calls not the network because i can make 6 conference calls to my friends

Just sent them email for quick update and here is what i have got reply back from them

Hi, nothing has changed at all. There seems to be a fair bit of confusion here.
All we have done is switched the main currency from EU to GBP. So it might appear that you are earning less units but this is in fact not the case.

They were right - nothing has changed at all. Although the units per minute was reduced whilst the base currency was switched from EUR to GBP.

Despite these changes the amount of earnings for making phone calls remains virtually the same.

The calculation is very simple!

If the system doesn't identify your number - then you will need to manually enter your number in international format 0044xxxxxxx. Have you tried this?

You use the credit to buy goodies for your other half, otherwise you'd be in trouble by spending so much time glued next to your phone(s)  ;)

On a serious note, they pay money into PayPal/bank account so you can use it as you like.
