Post by: mobaholic on March 03, 2009, 06:00:49 PM
See:-   http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/services/uk/flext-refresh/ (http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/services/uk/flext-refresh/)

Gives more including the following:-

Now we've made Flext even better.  Calls to 08 numbers, calls and texts to international numbers and to voicemail are now included, along with UK calls, texts and picture messages, and unlimited internet (subject to fair use).

The 08 numbers you can call include 0500 / 0800 / 0808 freephone;
0842 / 0843 / 0844 / 0845 locall numbers;
and 0870 national rate numbers.
( 0871 / 0872 and 0873 are excluded. )

It is useful that Web'n'walk is now also included in all flext tariffs - which all give differing credits according to your monthly subscription.

That seems to be good news... Can we expect old days to come back when 0870/0845/0844 were a part of inclusive allowances? Maybe to begin with, retentions would be able to offer such deals if you threaten to leave...

It may be good news Nik, but it's not as rosy as you may have assumed.       :'(

If you opened the hyperlink I posted, you will see that, although these numbers are inclusive in the tariffs, they still cost 40p / min. of your credit.        ???

That is not as bad as it sounds, as even on their lowest £35 tariff, you get 5 times as much credit as you paid - which makes the effective charge 8p / min. ( or better on higher tariffs ).        ;)

However, that is hardly as good as the old 'inclusive' O2 allowances for 0845 / 0844 / 0870 calls.         :'(

I might have jumped to a wish that 08 numbers become inclusive again and I agree it is too early for that :( . But the point here is that this is useful to many people who are not able to use their inclusive minutes completely. They can use their allowances in a much more effective manner.

I certainly think it's a 'step in the right direction' Nik.        :)

( Hence my OP ).        ;)

There is fresh information on the T-Mobile website now about their price changes for 08 and 09 calls.

See:-   http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/services/uk/08-09-price-changes/ (http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/services/uk/08-09-price-changes/)        ;)

Note carefully the information in the final paragraph:-

Are all the numbers that we are increasing the rate on included in the new Flext allowance?
The only exceptions are numbering starting with 0871, 0872 & 123, so customers will pay 40p a minute for these calls and they won't come out of their flext allowance
