Post by: mobaholic on June 21, 2008, 01:02:47 PM

I see that Rashmi has been having a bit of fun elsewhere.        :o

See Telecom Forum (http://www.telecomforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=3795.msg19368#msg19368)        ::)

Don't forget your friends here Rashmi !        :)

Hi MH,
Thanks for the attention. Folks did not take that lightheartedly. It will probably be deleted by their admin soon.

Don't worry Rashmi, its not your problem that some people are lacking every sense of humour.

mh once told me petkow shopped him to admin - just for asking for his email address! - and admin threatened to ban him, for the umpteenth time, for this alledged crime!

As for malcolm, who thinks he's smart, he complained that mh's google group wasn't a proper forum, then refused to activate his invitation link here!

I am sure you will always be most welcome here - for as long as mh is in charge.  He obviously appreciated your sense of humour!

Ok some people are lacking in the humour stakes, but is their any real need Dave to bad mouth the opposition ?,
I am surprised at this sort of thing coming from a Moderator.

The only bad mouthing that occured were on telecomforum towards Rashmi.  My comments were purely in sympathy with my member, and were entirely factual in nature.

The question is who you are, and your motivation for your post?

Our notifications email inbox has a message undeliverable report in it, saying the email address you used on registration no longer exists.   So what mischief are you attempting here?

That particular thread on telecomforum has already been deleted by their admin, which leaves our thread here without a link.

Yes I see you are right Rashmi.
That seems to prove they can't take a joke.

But you could always give your fun link here if you wanted - then everyone could see what all the fuss has been about?

Thanks for your not so cordial welcome.Lets hope things proceed on a better footing.

From what i read they did not approve of his joke, but i saw no evidence of bad mouthing him like you have carried out. I must say i am surprised at this sort of nonsense coming from a so called moderator.

I might well ask who you are Dave and what motivation you had for bad mouthing people?

I have amended the error on my e-mail details.

1) Welcome to the forum buddy ! And it is cordial, affectionate and fervent welcome, which everybody
     gets here !!

2) It was not his but her joke.

3) Nonsense from moderator was a kind support for the fellow member, which I suppose you will
    receive as well in future.

4)Yes, you are right. Things will proceed to betterment with your contribution and support.

5) Thanks for amending your e-mail details.

sorry thunderman, this thread has been left without a link since telecomforum deleted my post in their forum. It was just a little fun, which started all the debate.

it was something like this-
This link will not allow you to call India for half pence per minute-
PLEASE DO NOT CLICK HERE (http://www.brainbashers.com/donotclick.asp)

this is exactly what got me to leave.

There are too many users who write in exactly the same pedantic style. I suspect it is all the same person.
And your stupid links are of no interest to me.

I have amended the error on my e-mail details.

I have only been offline since 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, but it seems that everyone has been extraordinarily busy during this time.

I come back this morning to see 48 new posts - including 6 new threads - which must be some sort of a record for only half of a weekend !

My sincere thanks to everyone who contributed so much yesterday, especially Dave, Rashmi and Nadz.        :)

leighvamessage, I am sorry that you felt that you did not get a warm welcome yesterday.  I can well understand that.  From Dave's point of view you arrived from nowhere, tried to register a nonexistent email address, and left a solitary hostile post.  I might well have wondered what your game was if I had been here myself.        :o

But today is the start of a new week, so let's begin a new chapter together.  Thank you for changing your email address: I am glad to see that nothing has come back as undeliverable this time.        :)

The issues of what was said on telecomforum are now out of our reach to check, as the axe has been wielded again, and nothing remains to be seen.        :'(
One can question the suitability of Dave's comments, as you have done, but I can assure you that what he did say, whether wisely or not, is something which I can personally vouch for regarding its authenticity and accuracy.

Knowing Dave as well as I do, I can assure everyone that he feels a fatherly interest in all our members here, and I fully accept that he was motivated by a desire to offer support to Rashmi when she came under attack.  She herself obviously took it that way, for which I am grateful.  Although I have no record of the deleted thread, I do remember the hostile reception to her 'bit of fun' from at least 3 members, one of whom I do not know, and Malcolm and petkow whom I do.

You said: "Lets hope things proceed on a better footing."  Please let me second that.  I should like to give you a belated warm greeting, and to invite you to contribute positively to our small but active community.  I shall look forward to reading what you have to say once we put these opening difficulties behind us.         :)

My greetings.        :)
