Title: Depressing news from Orange Post by: mobaholic on July 23, 2009, 10:43:34 AM I received a text from Orange on one of my pre-pay SIMs yesterday, informing of price changes coming in in September. Details of these can be seen at http://www1.orange.co.uk/septemberchanges/ (http://www1.orange.co.uk/septemberchanges/) They make depressing reading. :o Internet charges for 25 MB of browsing in a day double to £2; ??? From 2 September calls to 0500, 0845, 0870, 0844 and 0871 numbers will be charged at 40p per minute; ??? Calls to 0800 numbers will be charged at 25p per minute. ??? This will hardly attract them more pay & go customers I should have thought ! As one contributor on uk.telecom.mobile commented:- Quote I thought that 0870 had to be charged the same as 01/02/03 from August - but even if not, 40p a minute? And 25p/min for 0800?
