A friend of mine asked me what I thought of the new TalkTalk tariff ?

Looking at their website, I see that they are now offering 'TalkTalk Pro' broadband, as well as 'TalkTalk Essentials'.
I am not sure just how the Pro package is, but it does seem to offer some interesting alternatives to their more basic package.

When you click on 'Find out more' for the Pro package, you are taken to http://www.talktalk.co.uk/products/broadband/pro

and there is also a tag which takes you to 'More details' here.

The main features of TalkTalk Pro are that it offers 'Up to 24Meg', rather than the 8Meg on the Essentials package; an unlimited download allowance, rather than 40GB; a wireless 'N' router, rather than a wireless 'G' router; and costs quite a bit more - at £14-99 per month on top of £11-25 monthly line rental, rather than just £6-49 for Essentials.

I have used neither service myself, but if members are familiar with how the Pro package compares with the Essentials, please post your experience and reviews below.

This package also allows unlimited calls, up to 60 minutes duration, to UK 0845 and 0870 numbers. BT packages only allow up to 1000 minutes.
