Using my T-Mobile pay & go SIM to send texts, I received one form the network yesterday:-
You've been selected to be part of this free service from T-Mobile. It's an application which will make topping up and managing your account much easier. Just click on the link to download it and don't worry its all free. Next time you need anything call 150 and listen to the message.

Clicking on it, it took me straight to my T-Mobile account online, where it appeared that I could do most things that I could have done on the internet.
I don't know if only those accounts who receive the SMS invite can make the download, or whether it will work for others also. Perhaps some may wish to test this and report ?
Also, I don't know what data charges would be involved if you don't have an internet package on your account.
The "don't worry its all free" may imply none ( as on the '3' network ), BUT that may only apply to the actual download to your mobile handset, rather than to all subsequent use. I don't know. I can't test this for others as I get unlimited internet on my mobile for 30 days after each topup, but if someone else would like to test and check, again please report below.
