Although this happened back in April, this is the first I have seen or heard about it and I thought others might find it interesting.

Essentially, rebels in Libya hijacked one of the networks there, owned and run by Gadaffi in order to restore communications to the country. Their international carrier IDT cooperated with them in order to allow people to call into the network from outside Libya.
