'3' has sold more than 500,000 dongles since September 2007 when it first launched mobile broadband.
The sales figures would give '
3' a market share of around 60% based on industry estimates.
The latest figures from GfK show dongle sales in the UK totalled 512,000 between February and June this year, since the market research specialists started tracking sales.
In February, 69,000 dongles were sold in the UK, and that figure has risen steadily each month since, with 133,000 sold in June.
Industry experts estimate that around 200,000 to 250,000 dongles would have been sold in the five months before GfK started tracking the figures, giving '
3' its significant market-leading share.
