"T-Mobile's Full Monty package has come under scrutiny again this week, after the Everything Everywhere subsidiary silently dropped tethering from the tariff's list of 'unlimited' features.

The operator today confirmed to Reg Hardware that it has removed tethering from the Full Monty package without announcement, withholding the feature from all future customers.

"Existing customers can continue to tether for the foreseeable future, but tethering is no longer included in the tariff for anyone signing up from today," it admitted.

Many punters find this hard to swallow and have voiced their irritation through various forums. Not only has the offer for unlimited tethering been removed, but new signees have no option to pay extra and get it added.

The Full Monty now seems a far less attractive prospect for anyone considering a new contract. The tariff was supposed to have offered a viable alternative to Three's eat-all-you-can One Plan, but after controversially throttling speeds, it didn't quite bring as much meat to the plate as its rival.

Throw in the lack of tethering too and the package now looks less Full Monty and more 'beans on toast"

I had data barred on a Three "The One" sim for tethering. They blocked data from the particular IMEI. If I put the SIM in another device data worked again. They wouldn't admit it though!

I have a t-mobile pay monthly contract that I got last year in November. It has "only" unlimited mobile internet and I frequently tether it to my laptop and it was works perfect. They say it's not allowed but I have been using it for a while now with no problems whatsoever.
