I really need to unlock my iphone (had to restore it after a messy jailbreak), I read on their website that pay monthly users can unlock their iPhones for free.

when did you took the phone...call the customer service and tell them you are going to holiday and i want to use local sim card ..so send me unlocking code..they will send you...that's what i did before and it worked for me

just send them message on text chat, it will be unlocked in 30 minutes. No reason required

I don't use o2 and I don't know anyone that does to help me.
I contacted their support website and I was asked for my "o2 phone number" (which I don't have)

Unable to understand to why you need O2 network if you are not on that network. Can you be more clear . Is it locked to O2 network before you jail broke it.

I am on o2 contract and o2 will not unlock any one elses phone. However I have unlocked a few friends phone and this is how to do it.

1. Get a 02 pay as you go sim
2. Put it in the phone make a few call (3 or so calls will be enough)
3. Make a o2 account here https://accounts.o2.co.uk/register
4. Then fill in this form https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/help/help?qid=1&q1=2&route=unlocking&case=Handset%20Unlocking%20Form
5. Make sure you have £15 credit.
6. Then wait within a few days it will be unlocked (o2 will send you a txt and an email when it is done)

does this works per Tesco locked phones aswell?? the reason i am asking is Tesco uses o2 network
