When the laptop's own screen closes, the laptop goes into sleep mode.

Since I don't need both the laptop display (small) and the Monitor display (large), how can I close the laptop so I can use only the Monitor-without putting the laptop to sleep?

Thank you.

you need external mouse and keyboard to do that and when you have them then go in power setting from your control panel and choose '' do nothing when lid close'' in this case laptop stays on and you're able to use it on your external display.  Grin
