My interpretation of the information given on that page is that all number ranges will now be included in monthly allowances. Why do I think this? Well...

" These charges – also known as out of bundle charges – are what you’ll pay if you exceed your monthly allowance, or if you don’t have a monthly allowance." <List of various number ranges all with a 37.5p charge follows>

I'm not sure I see it this way. I read it as Vodafone may well now include the access charge, but not the full cost of the call. You will still have to pay for the service charge on top. The reason for this is that they have a caveat listed "*Note that calls to 084, 087, 09, and 118 will also have a service charge, as set by the organisation you’re calling." just below the first table. This may still be an improvement over what they were intending though.

That's a good point Mikael. I was thinking more along the lines of pagers, personal numbers, etc.

Vodafone's move, as of 10 August 2015, for 070, 076 and other such numbers is the exact opposite of what is happening with 084, 087, 09 and 118 numbers on 1 July 2015.

From 1 July 2015, Vodafone's share of the call cost for all calls to 084, 087, 09 and 118 numbers will be 23p per minute. On the other hand, anywhere from 1p per minute to £3.60 per minute or from 5p per call to £6 per call (depending on the exact number called) will be passed on to the called party and their telecoms provider. Vodafone's share will become 45p from 10 August 2015, with the overall call cost for all 084, 087, 09 and 118 numbers going up by 22p per minute from that date. It will be clear to callers that the cost has gone up on 10 August 2015 because Vodafone have increased the cost of the Access Charge and that there is no change in the Service Charge.

From 10 August 2015, Vodafone will charge 45p per minute for out-of-bundle calls to standard landline and mobile numbers in the UK and for all calls to landlines and mobiles in CI and IoM and for all calls to 0500, 070, 076 and other such numbers. This includes numbers with a termination fee of less than 1p per minute, numbers with no termination fee and numbers with Enhanced Termination Fees of up to 50p per minute.

Vodafone will have unbundled charges for calls to 084, 087, 09 and 118 numbers, in place of the current blended rates, and blended rates for most other calls, in place of the current bundled and variable rates. Once the current mess with 084, 087, 09 and 118 has been addressed, Ofcom plans to review 055, 056, 070 and 076 numbers. They have already reviewed 0500 numbers and these will be phased out by 3 June 2017. Users can migrate to the matching 0808 5 number with the final six digits remaining the same.

I have a vodafone business plan with inclusive mins to 08 numbers and i have written confirmation in an email from my account manager that i will not be charged in any way for calls to 08 numbers because its already included in my price plan. Furthermore, Ive been told that these changes mainly affect vodafone customers who currently dont have inclusive mins to 08 numbers and currently pay to call them.

Only time will tell....theres only 2 weeks to go now!

Now that 1st July is here, I suggest that everybody keeps a close eye on their on-line billing!

Yes indeed. I've made a couple of short calls this morning to test but my account has not been updated yet.

I intended to make only a single test call this morning, but unfortunately I forgot, and made 45 0871 drop calls on T-Mobile!   Embarrassed

Fortunately my online billing has updated, and all are shown as nil charge - i.e. inclusive.   Grin

I have made a short call this morning, I checked my online bill, so far I have not been charged. I assume it will not be charged as the charged bill will show online within few hours after call.

I wish we can continue to use the 08 numbers!

o2 to charge 45p/min from 15 August 2015!

They could choose to compete against EE (and Vodafone's) ridiculous rate but instead they choose to match it. Pure Greed!

Have you got a link for that? I have not seen that. These networks really are making the most of it.

Well it just gets more interesting, it's suddenly vanished from the o2 pricing page, it showed yesterday as:
Service numbers    Access charge
08                       25p (45p from 15 August 2015)
09                       25p (45p from 15 August 2015)
118                     25p (45p from 15 August 2015)

The People's Operator at 5p/min on Pay&Go looks like a bargain with all these increases!
