The expensive ngn calls can be avoided by using a cheaper call supplier via a geographical access number.
True to some extent, eg. 0845 and 0870 calls. But hard if you want to call a 0844 number, for which Orange charge the extortionate rate of "up to 55p"!
It would help if Mikael got around to considering mh's NGN service proposals sometime soon!
One of the geographical access numbers i use allows you to call 0844 numbers for 5p a minute.

It should be quite sufficient to quote the post to which you are replying only, except in extreme circumstances.
It is also far more forum friendly to specify the service you use. That would help other members also to benefit from your knowledge. To refer to an unspecified service is merely showing off, and will not help anybody.
