There is a post on telecomforum telling about a new mobile callthrough - which claims to be inclusive on O2, Orange and 3.       Shocked

It uses 079786 access numbers, which were first allocated to Opera Telecom ( now called Oxygen 8, I believe. )      Shocked

The service claims to reach Pakistan between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday to Friday.  Has anybody tried it yet ?

IF the number range IS inclusive on O2, Orange and 3, I wonder if it might be worthwhile for Mikael to take a look at it to see if he could start using it for his customers ?  I know that he has a lot on both O2 and 3 who might benefit.        Grin

I'll say the same as I hinted about another service on a number range from this provider. It was one of the least ethical telecom companies around, with loads of fines (hence the name change). So I dont care whether it is inclusive

I just made a test call and it works fine. I will wait a couple of hours and then check my o2 balance to see if it is inclusive.

It is my only concern is how long will the number last before o2 shut it down!

I have not come across any such allegations so far myself: will you post some links for us, so that we can take a look at what is being said ?  That would help us to understand your point of view, and to make up our own minds in an informed way.       Wink

This is not true,
it will not come out of your inclusive mins,
they will charge you high tariff for this as this is not a normal mobile.

would like to hear Mikael's view.

I have had dealings with Opera, now Oxygen8 for a number of years. Whilst they have been vilified by some, and had Icstis come down on them, I have not found them to be a bad company. In my view they were made a scapegoat for many problems with TV phone-ins, and of couse had issues with some people using their numbers, but all companies will get some problems like that.

I have access to these numbers, but have not determined if they inclusive on all o2 tariffs, or just business ones. I plan to have a service ready in Jan on these numbers.

There is conflicting evidence on telecomforum about calling from O2.  Some seem to report inclusive on simplicity plans, and been uncharged for some days.  Another states this is not a "normal mobile number" and will be charged highly, although he gives no basis for his claim.  Has anyone here actually tested it, and can they give us a definite answer from their online billing please?
