The Nokia N96 has been all over the papers over the last few days, with some deals giving the lie to the idea operators' acquisition budgets have run dry.

'3' is pushing the Nokia N96 for free on a £30 a month tariff on an 18 month contract with 300 minutes of call time or texts. Adding a broadband dongle comes in for £35 a month.

Vodafone has ommitted publishing the monthly line rental with its N96 deal (900 minutes, unlimited texts and data). It says online that the fee is £45 a month.

T-Mobile promotes all-you-can-eat data and texts with its free N96 and 1,000 minutes for £45 a month.

At the deal-seeker end of the market, e2save has the N96 for £45 a month, but half price for three months.  It’s also trying to reel in upgrade customers by offering £145 to customers who trade-in their old N95s.

See:-   here.

So hopefully there will be some recon N95 deals going in a while with e2save or within the CPW group !

For me the N95 is particularly attractive as it has WiFi and it is surprising the availability of accessible WiFi in many built-up areas !  Of course a PDA with WiFi card would achieve the same, but it is something extra to carry.  Once you have a SIP (VoIP) phone on a device there many things that can be done...

OK let me bite.  SIP is one of those things I have been meaning to find out more about for a long while.  Will you share your experience with us please A1ia5 ?
