Daveknell!

I think, you mentioned somewhere that the Precaller website would be working again from Wednesday/Thursday. In the hope that this service would be continued.
Would there be any changes in number range, procedure, etc?
Will it effect the gained units?

The service proved to be good for different destinations and comparatively economical with the best feature of Website updates.

An update for this service would be highly appreciated.

Regards

Any update on the service Dave?

Also, is there a possibility to add UK mobiles and 0871/0872 numbers to the service as well?

Hi all -
Still restoring the backup (joy of remote backups = data's safe, but it takes longer to restore than an on-site one); the service will be as it was.  I'll add back the ability to call UK mobiles once it's up.

One idea I would suggest is that once a call is placed to the Precaller access number, by pressing the hash key, the current balance is read out and also by pressing the star key, you can make a follow on call rather than hanging up and calling again.

Thanks for the update. Is there any chance to add 0871/0872 numbers as well, if possible. They will surely be expensive in terms of units but I'm sure majority of our members will appreciate this addition.

How about just allowing every destination BT will route?

You're right. Even though website states it costs 4 units per minutes to call UK mobiles, message says "you do not have enough credit to make this call".
Maybe it's a temporary glitch, Dave will sort it out.

No, it's entirely intentional, and the result of someone using it to call pager numbers last year.. ring any bells?

What's wrong with calling pagers? And if you don't want people calling them, why not just bar 076?

The last time I tried to use precaller I was hardly able to call anything I wanted to, even Greek mobile numbers I seem to recall. So I gave up.
